At Hasselblad Lumber we supply mill-direct oak and douglas fir timbers in dimensions up to 12 x 14 x 20’. Oak is a strong, closed-cell hardwood that is naturally resistant to rot or decay. This, combined with its high stress ratings, makes it a desirable option when compared to less dense hardwoods from other U.S. regions. In addition, oak is an affordable alternative to high-priced apitong or other exotic hardwoods.

White Oak

  • Up to 12 x 14 x 16’
  • Higher stress rating than red oak timbers
  • Rot resistant, frequently used in boat building

Red Oak

  • Up to 12 x 14 x 16’
  • More readily available than white oak, which results in a lower price point

Douglas Fir

  • Up to 12 x 14 x 20’
  • Affordable softwood option
